President of the Thailand Tigers, Brendan Cunningham, wraps up an extremely successful 2013 Asian Champs with the following email to the Asian Presidents.

Hi Asian Presidents,

On behalf of the Thailand Tigers, I’d like to thank all 12 clubs for attending the Expat Property Planners Asian Championships.

With 13 participating teams, it was the biggest Asian Champs in the event’s history and a sign of just how strong footy has become in Asia.

It was great to get so many lads together who share the common interest of loving this game and sharing a beer with good blokes afterwards. I, personally, was particularly impressed by the amount of locals from each country and it’s certainly our goal to get more Thais involved and, ideally, playing at the next Asian Champs.

Also, good luck to the new AFL Asia committee in their pursuit of growing the game throughout Asia. It’s clear to see that Asian Footy can only benefit from what these guys are striving for.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at a bigger and better Asian Champs in 2014!
